What is a Blog and what it’s for

At this point in the 21st century it seems that the question What is a blog and what is it for? is absurd.

But the reality is that there are still many people who do not know the potential of a blog and the possibilities they can bring.

Blogs are like mobile phones, I still don’t know how we could possibly live without them 🙂

For example, to begin with, tell you that in my case, with this blog I’m pretty close to making a living with him.

Luckily my current job situation is good and I don’t depend solely on the blog, but I hope that in a couple of years I can dedicate myself to it and earn a salary.

The idea of living off my blog is very attractive and certainly much more rewarding.

I encourage you to read on and learn more about blogs and discover a world full of opportunities. I’m sure that in the future you’ll be happy to spend a few minutes learning more about blogs and maybe you’ll be encouraged to create one.

What is a blog?

A blog is a website where periodical publications are made, each publication is called “Entry” and presented in reverse chronological order (the most recent entries are those that appear first).

Blogs are also often called blogs, weblogs or diaries.

Because of the logbook? It is named after the logbooks (travel logbooks) that were used on the ships to record everything that happened during the course of the voyage and then stored in the logbook.

How does a blog work?

Blog visitors can leave comments on the posts if they wish, either to provide some information that they think is relevant and has not been treated in the article, to make a criticism or simply to tell you how well you have done.

Blogs also allow you to insert links to other blogs or websites in order to expand or corroborate the information that is being processed, thus adding greater value and credibility to what is written in the entry.

What is a blog for?

For almost everything 😉

From creating a blog for daily personal use where you can tell your experiences or deal with any subject you think is important, to professional blogs (business, educational, informative, artistic, cultural, opinion blogs, etc)

Blogs have become a key part of the Internet, going from being only daily newspapers where each author counted on their day to be an almost indispensable work tool used to generate visibility, promote products, inform etc.

A blog allows you to find and connect with people related to your interests, helping many of them while you learn as well.

Imagine all the potential of having thousands of readers who regularly read to you, all this together with as many new readers that can reach you through social networks (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) or Google, Yahoo, etc. search engines that also trust you. This can be used in many ways to generate recurring revenue.

Remember what I was saying at the beginning, I’m close to earning a living with my blog and that….. That’s a pass.

How to make a personal blog?

If you intend to create a personal blog then I recommend you among many other options Blogger or WordPress. com, you can publish as many articles as you want and give free rein to your imagination.

But if you intend to create a professional blog and try to make a living, then I personally don’t recommend either of these two options, What Why? because you need to have full control of your blog and with these two free options, it won’t be so, you will be limited.

Keep in mind that the blog will be the gateway to your business, it will be the friendly face that the visitor will see and of course, what we want is to make a good impression, that it comes back and if what we have is an online store what we want is to sell.

You’re wondering, then what should I do? My advice is that if you want to get off to a good start use WordPress. org, of course there are more platforms but this is the one I know best and what better results it has given me.

We already know we want to use WordPress. org, but what’s the next step?

The first thing you will have to do is register a domain name and hosting.

Install your worpdress, to create your blog or website.

Upload a template and start publishing.

But remember that you will have to dedicate some time and effort to create good content that will add value and be consistent in your efforts.

No one will give you anything, you’ll have to work hard.

Now that you know what a Blog is and how to create and know all the potential it can generate, do you want to join the world of blgs?

If you feel more comfortable you can create a Video blog, it works easily, you open an account for example on youtube, record a video, upload it and that’s it. I must confess that this is a pending subject for me;) to put myself in front of a camera and record…….. Well, we left it there…….

Welcome to the world of blogger
